Case clues mainly come from: (1) the central and provincial ecological environmental inspections found that compensation for ecological and environmental damage needs to be carried out; (2) ecological and environmental emergencies; (3) cases of ecological damage to resource and environment administrative penalties; (4) cases that are suspected of constituting crimes against environmental resource protection; (5) incidents of environmental pollution and ecological damage in key ecological function areas and prohibited development zones identified in the Territorial Spatial Plan; (6) case clues discovered by various resource and environmental special operations and law enforcement inspections; (7) case clues involving complaints, reports and media exposures and claims proposed by the procuratorial organization or where the compensation obligee considered it necessary to file compensation for ecological and environmental damage.
