On Feb. 27 and 28, the China Region Finals of the 37th World Odyssey of the Mind was held in Songjiang Foreign Language School of Shanghai International Studies University. The competition attracted 408 teams of universities, secondary and primary schools and kindergartens from 14 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities including Shanghai, Beijing, Guangdong and Tibet, and two teams of senior high schools from Germany and Russia. From Jiading District, 6 secondary and primary school teams and 5 teams of kindergartens and grades I and II of primary schools participated in the competition.

In the OM China Region Finals this year, there were 6 questions for competition. Jiading District got good results in the Environmental Protection Vehicle of engineering and technical making, with Jianbang School ranking at the first place, Jiading No. 1 High School at the 4th and Greenland Primary School at the 6th place. Furthermore, Nanxiang High School ranked at the 4th place in junior high school group for Story of Fishing, Jiading Branch of the High School Affiliated to Jiaotong University ranked at the 5th place for Structure of Pressurizing Twice in senior high school group, and Nanyuan High School ranked at the 6th place for Structure of Pressurizing Twice in junior high school group. In the competition for the primary question Disturbance for kindergarten and grades I and II of primary school, Fengzhuang Kindergarten Got the second award, and Anting Kindergarten and the Primary School Affiliated to Jiading No. 1 High School got the third award.

The team of Jianbang School will participate in the competition among group champions of the China Region Finals of the 37th World Odyssey of the Mind this week, to strive for the qualification to participate in the finals of the 37th World Odyssey of the Mind to be held in Iowa State University of the United States on May 25.
