Recently, the 2016DI Global Youth Creative Thinking Competition was held in Tennessee State University in Knoxville, Tennessee of the United States, and a total of 1464 teams participated in the finals. The competition has six major challenges and one instantaneous challenge. After selection through municipal and national competitions, Shanghai had 15 teams to participate in the competitions in Challenge A “Changing Steps”, Challenge B “Master of Disguise”, Challenge C “Looking for Clue” and Challenge E “Mixture of Music”. The teams from Shanghai harvested fruitful results in the competition, and got seven grand awards, respectively: primary school group champion and runner-up of Challenge B, “Renaissance” special award and champion of instantaneous challenge, runner-up of Challenge E, “Da Vinci” special award and champion of instantaneous challenge; and three other teams ranked at top 10 in Challenge E.

Three teams of Jiading District participated in the DI global general finals, and after tense competitions, the team of Zhenxin Primary School got global runner-up in Challenge B of primary school group, among the 92 teams from primary schools, and teams from Jiading No. 1 High School and Nanxiang Primary School both got the “Innovative Creation Award”.

The DI Global Competition provides the youngsters of the whole world with a platform for demonstration and exchanges. In the spare time of competitions, the young people of Shanghai exchanged gifts and badges and dined together with friendly teams, and watched the activities including graduation ceremonies of local earthquake and senior high schools, all gaining a lot.
