Anting Senior High School in Jiading District of Shanghai is located at 868 North Moyu Road, Anting Town, the central town of Jiading International Motor City. It is a full-time senior high school, and was named as an experiment demonstration senior high school in January, 2010. The predecessor of Anting Senior High School – Anting High School was first built in the 8th year of Daoguang Regime of the Qing Dynasty (1828 AD), as developed from the Zhenchuan Academy built in memory of the famous proser Gui Youguang (with the pseudonym Zhenchuan) of the Ming Dynasty who taught and lived at Anting for 25 years, with the imperial approval by the Emperor Daoguang. It is one of the schools in Shanghai suburbs with the longest history.

The school covers a land area of 60,238m2, with floor space of 27,209.77m2. Today it has 18 senior high school classes, with 680 students, and 73 faculty members, including 66 full time teachers, with 20 senior teachers, 33 first-grade teachers and 12 second-grade teachers. The teachers include 1 doctor, 6 masters and 59 undergraduates. Among them, 4 are core teachers at the district level and 6 core teachers at the town level.

With the established teaching concept of “Healthy growth of teachers and students together”, the school adheres to reform and innovation and optimizes teachers and courses, and the education and teaching quality has upgraded steadily.
